Mason-Lite Masonry Fireplaces

A Mason-Lite Masonry Fireplace is made of a combination of volcanic pumice stone and concrete. The pumice stone absorbs the heat and reflects it back into the home while the concrete gives the structure strength.   My case was unique. I had a freestanding woodstove that had been installed in a chimney for 33 years. I was planning conversion to some form of gas heat.  I was right on the verge of ordering and installing a direct vent insert.

They have a woodstove division and a gas division and a cleaning division. I wanted a consultation to look at my chimney and see what I needed to do to get it adequately cleaned for conversion from wood to gas direct vent insert. Despite living only 8 miles there was no possibility of getting two people to look at my situation. The chimney cleaning division could not offer any advice about gas and the gas people could not offer any advice about cleaning needs. They might be able to come on the same day but not to the same appointment.

I went from there to other plans and found an individual who could talk wood and gas and cleaning and who gave me good advice.

  This was our first time working with this company. We just moved to Troutman and were looking to have a wood burning stove installed. This was always a dream of mine and this was one of the first things we scheduled when we moved. They were  such a joy to work with and put all our worries at ease. They were  professional and Jahaira communicated very well throughout the entire process. The day of the install came and the crew was timely, professional, and very knowledgeable. I especially loved speaking with Jamy and Travis. Jamy was so helpful with the whole process and they were such a great team working together. They left the place super clean and I had no idea that anyone was even here by the end of the day. I would definitely recommend them and would absolutely use them again in the future.

All my questions were answered along the way, I would highly recommend this company to any one wanting a new fireplace or one to replace there existing fireplace with something nicer and more efficient.   High Country Fireplaces was great to work with when we decided to switch our wood stove insert over to gas.  They made sure that the logs were a good fit for our oversized fireplace.  Eric and the others at High Country were extremely helpful and nice.  I am so happy with the work they did.
